Having completed his M.A. degree in TV Broadcast Management at Marquette University, Milwaukee, Prof. Dr. Şahin Karasar earned his PhD degree from the Institute of Communications Science, Anadolu University. After PhD studies, he worked at Gazi University, Eastern Mediterranean University and Krygzstan-Turkey Manas University as Instructor, Head of Department, Vice Dean and Vice President consecutively.

Maltepe University is beginning 2019-2020 academic term with an extraordinary film. President Prof. Dr. Şahin Karasar wore cook aprons with faculty deans and department heads and entered into kitchen and explained the secrets of a qualified university education.

Motivation Film for University Candidates
Maltepe University produced a motivation film for university candidates who get prepared to University Entrance Exam. The film produced by the founder of Vanilla Media, Dr. Görkem İldaş was penned by famous cartoonist Yiğit Özgür and vocalized by musician Evrencan Gündüz.
The President of Maltepe University, Prof. Dr. Şahin Karasar said that this year, they tried a different method that teens love and brought cartoon together with music. Karasar who emphasized that they aimed to motivate candidates with the film, which was brought into life after a long period of hard work and preparation said “We wish all the best to all our student candidates who will enter university entrance exam and recommend them to watch this film before they take the exam.”

Two awards to PTT AŞ in logistics
In the 9th Traditional Logistics and Trade Meeting that hosts leading names of the industry, Logistics Firm of the Year Award has been given to PTT AŞ. The President of Maltepe University, Prof. Dr. Şahin Karasar presented the award to the Vice General Director of PTT AŞ. Gürbüz Akbulut.

T.R. Maltepe University has signed a cooperation protocol with Cerebral Palsy Turkey, the only association that offers the widest range of services about Cerebral Palsy in Turkey for disabled people to live well adapted to the community and reduce the number causes that trigger the disability.
